Yep, Volkspower has changed hands, Dean now runs "Fast Stuff" and is our Master distributor in Melbourne. Brand new facility opening in the next couple of weeks.

    Fast Stuff

Carl (new owner @ Volkspower) has many years in the automotive trade and is supported by ourselves & Dean with the products - rest of the trained staff is there unchanged

Bit of a bump (didn't want to start a new thread).

I was in contact with Volkspower recently and heard that Dean has left (although they can still contact him if need be). New owner Carl seems like a great guy. Some here found Dean to be a bit 'rough' so I figured it was worth sharing.

Do you know if there is much power gain with the gas race tune and a tank full of race gas? I would hope so for the price of that stuff.

    Thanks Guy...may be in contact

So far the program switching is working a treat, but it appears there is not enough room for the Anti theft / security features though.

It will be great for those who want to play around with the race gas file at the drag strip

It does not matter what you buy, there will always be a better deal sooner or later.

118TSI, which has always supported extra programs, except when I got my APR you had to pick and pay for the extras; I paid $250 for security lockout. Now anyone can buy APR and get all of them for free, but I can't walk in and get them (I had the software reloaded once after a dealer wiped it and I asked Dean then). Not the worlds biggest problem but one of those head scratchers.

But didn't Guy say that it's available to anyone with Golf R tune? Or do you have a different model?

Got my 2012 Golf R booked in for APR stage 1 this week. When I spoke to the lady on the phone she said "you are aware that we can only put a single tune on the car and you won't be able to switch tunes - you only have enough memory to hold a single tune"

I didn't know otherwise so said, yep, that's fine. But does this sound right? Only reason I ask is because I've read about switching tunes via the cruise control stalk.

Not overly concerned about it but I guess it would be handy to be able to switch tunes when taking care for servicing.

    Cheers in advance.
