The Supersprint or Hartmann ones are about the nicest I've ever seen and use tubing with proper wall thickness. I would steer clear of the cheapo ones unless you're using very hard engine mounts.

I had the Eurosport one on my car (pretty damn expensive by the time you pay freight!), which was very good for fit and clearance but the ball-style flex joint always leaked slightly. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well.

You might also look at the Storm Developments one, which is made in the UK and I've read good things about it too

Techtonics Tuning make the full race 4-1 header (their 4-2-1 street header has been discontinued) for both tall and short block 16vs, but you can't run an OEM style front ARB, and I reckon MK1s feel a lot nicer with one on, despite what others might say.

Any fitting issues, I thought they only did LHD ones??

It's all about money at the end of the day. The more you spend the better it will be.

I built a MK1 16V years ago, bought off the shelf manifold from Ashley, not really well built but did the job OK.

Maybe have a talk and get friendly with your local performance exhuast centre! They may be able to make something up for a good price with nice long secondary's for good tourque

The Mk1 16v set fits a RHD car as well
