yea, but finding the right porsche parts. remeber they have porshe written on them, which would make them quite expensive, one would think.

the volvo parts you might be able to get at a wrecker, and maybe audi stuff, but more than likely specialist wreckers would have the parts, and charge a premium, cause they can.

imo, standalone like a mircotech LT8 would be the go. it'd be cool to have a kjet set up, but easier and possibly [or probably?] cheaper to do stand alone

Very correct, ovlov and Audi's both had Kjet turbos.

Old Saabs had a slightly different but in some ways similar turbo injection setup, can't remember what it was called something like L jetronic or some variant(think it was half electric). Don't quote me on this one, memory is sketchy.

        DeLoreans had K-Jet too.

I know that's not relevant but Deloreans are cool!

I'd know how to set one up with a turbo, don't know about supercharger though. I'd imagine it's possible, all dependant on what type of LPG system was used to viablility etc.

We've actually been through the FI LPG thing before.

It's simple. Fit the complete LPG system as per usual.

Fit a Gas Research modded boost reference B2 convertor

Fit a Gas Research throttlebody/carby setup & get it tuned/modded to suit you application once all fitted. They play around with the air bleed's & plunger sizing.

Run a early mk1 twin ported vac advance canister dizzy & run the boost reference to retard the ignition timing instead of advancing the timing.

With this setup you should get approx. 1 degree of retard for every pound of boost which is ideal to start with.

This would be heap's easier & more ideal to run with such high compression too than fuel & efi!

                      Golfworx,

Where can I find more info on the WUR?

I'm planning on supercharging my 1.8 8v K-Jet (uk based) but am getting thrown out by the furling part.

                      Any help would be appreciated!

The Aisin Super charger I know little about. I run a SC 12 on my Golf with a suck though system and it works great. Bundles of torque and power curve that rocks to about 6100-6200 rpm. The SC 14 even though is bigger cannot rev so high and will spit teflon of the rotors if over revved. Do your home work and I'm sure you will get results. I run about 9-10 PSI and love it. Don't be persuaded to run a hair dryer (turbo) unless you want nothing till over 3000 rpm then an uncontrollable rush of power which is not conducive to fast cornering in the hills as the power delivery is not smooth AT ALL. I went from a 944 Turbo to a 944 S2 3.0 twin cam normally aspirated for that exact reason. I did not have the top speed or quite the grunt on long uphill sections but in Targa Tasmania it was much more tractable. Good luck man and enjoy the ride.

                          Cheers

                          JJ

Just a thought check out the old skool Audi Turbos and perhaps get some clues from them. I think they ran similar turbos on that kind of injection system.

I was home sick yesterday, so rekindled my interest in supercharging my 8v kjet.

To run forced induction on Kjet CIS I figure I need..

                              For extra fuel:
-WUR that is boost sensitive (off a turbo Kjet) - this helps kick in extra fuel during boost.
-Fuel distributor from a turbo kjet (I've heard Volvo 240T works well) - as the NA ones don't travel far enough to deliver enough fuel above about 8 psi (flapper max's out)

                              To retard the timing:
-vac. retard canister for distributor (I guess this comes from a kjet turbo as well? GOLFWORX - are you saying a normal dizzy can be modified to retard instead of advance?)

Does anyone have anyone know / have any experience with this?
