Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    There have been a number of threads debating the ins and outs of tuning/modifying cars and if VW can tell if a car has had a tune removed. Here is what REVO say...

    Is Revo Software Undetectable? - Only Revo

    I was told the same thing by a VW tech.

      It seems to be the old news. Some people choose what they want to believe in or to whom they want to believe.

      I always say to my customers that all the tunes are detectable. Just because the dealer fixed the car that was tuned under the warranty doesn't mean that they couldn't detect the tune. Even the tuning boxes leave the trail in the software.
