Just something different each time. You've generally got to have all glass forward of the windscreen taped off. I've got a vinyl cutter and a bad attitude so anything could happen.
Also some of these people take themselves too seriously so I'm having a bit of a poke at those with NISMO etc stickers accross their headlights.
If you go back over the old photos you'll see all sorts of designs and colours.

thats great mate, glad to see you take your sense of humour to the track. working where i do in close proximity to a bunch of amature racers, it always amuses and appalls me the amount of money spent on some cars to get them to look as if they represent the ego of the owner. i might just put in a googly eyes order with you one day soon for my white mk1 4 door

Dropped a gearbox off for rebuilding on the weekend.
It's up at Volkwerke getting the wavetrac diff installed, new bearings and whatever synchros it needs.
Last two events have been in the rain, these diffs aren't helping me sitting on the shelf!
When I swap the box in I'll send the current box off to get the peloquin loaded. This box also gets a R&P swap to make it the same ratio as the other one.
Both boxes will end up as 4K box gearing.

Time to get both wheels spinning!
Whats this "you won lotto " without tellin anybody !!!
Be definatley interested in how the transaxles perform with the different diffs Pete, along with a few others no doubt...
I went to the USA back in April and did some shopping. Now that the credit cards are paid off I can start installing some of it.
There's more detail of the stuff I brought back in my other race car thread.(Link in sig below)
Wavetracs are a bit cheaper but the Peloquins come with the bolts and bearings so they work out about the same.
I was really curious to know more about the wavetrac but there's not many reviews. Everyone kept telling me to buy a Peloquin. The answer was simple - buy one of each!
I'll track the wavetrac in the white car first and if it's awesome move it into the blue car behind a 16v. The Peloquin can be a backup and used on the street in the white car once the race car is up and running.
awesome buy Pete, i've been flipping coins for months on this very same issue for my rally car. Can you let me know when you have some results mate because i desperately need to do my diff but want to make sure i get right for tarmac rallies. Will be looking for your results with much interest.

The diff is fouling the case in behind the bell housing. Seems to be an issue with the earlier boxes, a 4K in this case. (Peloquins foul in the same place with this box.)
It can be clearanced with grinding but I'd prefer no to so I'm going to supply the box builder with a CHB box as a donor for the case.
That actually ends up being a pretty good combo the 4K gearset, 3.94 R&P, wavetrac diff all in a late cordoba box.
I never did like the reverse switch in the 4K anyway
I'll still be running at Sandown . I have more than one gearbox!
