Well the latest is that now all the components are fixed, I still can't get them to play nicely together.

The dizzy works well and the cars absolutley hauls but it stops revving at 5500. I'm think lean/rich miss-fire now.

So it's dyno time.

I'm booked in for the 24th. The dyno operator sets up Alfa racecars so he knows Dellortos well.

This way I know that the cam timing, ignition timing and carby tune will be optimal.

Can't wait!

If so harass Joe about a dyno day. I spoke to him earlier in the year and he was too busy traveling overseas.

Ummm a dyno is a tuning tool , not a spectator sport (In my opinion at least.). I'm just going to leave the car with them 'till they figure it out.

They'll have to do a few runs to sort out the tune issues and may need to organise parts as well.

This is the place, There's not many people that will still look at carbs, especially Dellortos AND have a front wheel drive dyno.

Still waiting, I gave them plenty of time for this. I'd be worried if they sent it back after only a couple of hours.

I figured there would be a fair amount of re-testing and perhaps ordering of carby bits so I made it clear that I didn't need the car back in a hurry.

I'd rather they have the time to do the job thoroughly.

I am curious to drive it when it's all tuned up though!
