Awesome run today, best lap time ever, a 2:15
Stupid amounts of traffic in the morning 'cos of the crazy way they were sending the groups out.
Wavetrac did it's thing in the rain. Last turn into the straight I could get the back sliding and power on to match the slide with the front. Any tendency to under steer could be corrected by turning in just a little harder and putting the foot down.
Highlight of the day was chasing a Ferrari 355.
Took a bit to get back in the swing and figure out the new gearbox along with the very different power curve.
Peak speed seemed to be about 185KM/H (115MPH) , I could have shot higher I think but I wasn't so sure the brakes would pull me up in time to turn in to corner 1. I could smell them working pretty hard.
On the second run out I spun out on the down hill bit coming off the back of the circuit. No damage, but I decided not to re-enter and put dirt all over the track. I sat it out until the marshals directed me in.
Run 6 was the fastest and was freaking awesome!
Tyres hooked up, I got a clear track and it was on song. Magic stuff. Never been 'round corners so fast in my life! Damm those Toyos hang on!
