Thanks dude, I have replaced pretty much every moving part on the car so now it's in good condition

It's not going to be a track hack, I'll still take good care of it, drive it around on the weekends and to meets, etc. So it will stay looking nice.

When I last saw the car 2 weeks ago there were chewed up things on the driver's floor, so I don't think the rat has gone.

I'm still waiting on the bloody rear brake lines to come into stock and get sent out!!! Once they are here, I'm trailering it home.

Then I need to find where to get it road worthied, and I heard mod plates were only $60 to have it as a 2 seater, so I'll get that done.

      • Updates:

        - New front indicator wiring is in
        - Brake lines paid for and on their way - this is the last thing to do before I trailer the car home and take it for a roady yeeeeeeaaaa
        - Mouse is still there :/

Any ideas on how to get rid of the mouse? It's made another house under the rain tray.

Get more traps mate, or what works for me:

Half fill an container with old (filtered) frying fat and cover it tight with a thin old cloth, mice tend to chew a hole into the cloth and fall/drown in the old fat. Only use this method if you really can't catch 'em. But yeah try other/more traps first

          • Keep an eye on the events section and bring it to the next happy laps session.

You will get to see how it goes over 110km/h and you will also have the worlds fastest mouse/rat.

The ones GAP sent were the wrong type for the rears, however new rubber ones from VW Heritage came in the mail on Tuesday.

So on Saturday I'll be installing the rear lines, then I'll take it for a drive and see how it goes.

Also sorting out the trailer this weekend to take it home.

                • For anyone ordering brake lines from OS, be carefull. most don't comply to aus standards, and will void insurance. Apparently the GAP ones don't comply

Would the non compliant ones be the braided SS or the OEM replacement rubber lines?
Its a silly rule outlawing something that would be stronger than the standard rubbers.

                    • Got the brake lines all fitted, took it for a drive, and it is running so so sweet.

Trailering it home next Monday, a guy is coming in the arvo to mod plate it as a 2 seater, then a mobile roady guy is coming out to pass judgement on it :S

                      Wish me luck!

if there OEM, don't see any problems.. but i think its braided only with the associated tags.
just to be sure, for a road car.. make sure it complies
