So how was it's first semi-competitive track time?
Yeah it went well, thanks for organising it. Took a bit of time to get into it, the mk2 is very different to my sp25 in that it's harder to feel when you're on the limit, and the lack of power means I had to floor it the whole time if I wanted to go forward.
The brakes were great, they were strong the entire time and I even found myself catching up to people under braking more than anything (definitely didn't make any ground in the straight sections).
Otherwise it was fine, just a matter of getting used to it. I'm half tempted to sell the Mazda and Golf at the same time to just get one quick car to act as my daily and to have fun with. The lack of power is definitely annoying in the mk2!!!
I'll be keen for the next happy laps tho, won't need to change anything on the car either, just drive it more!
