then my friend put his A8 4.2q up for sale that id done a set of srt wheels for and I had to pick it up
only thing ive physically done to it so far is oem+ tail pipes on a straight through rear box
but just got these for it...8 pot phaeton/bentley/lambo calipers
which I still need to get discs for and theyll sit behind the mulliners Ive hopefully picked up for the A8 and the srt's will go on the A6 estate I bought when I broke the A4 whilst working away
decided to go for it and the only proper way to go really full on was 20vT.....so the old engine from the red A4 that was dying from a cyl.head gasket got rescued. Decided to try a port on the aeb inlet
welded up where id went through and was going to buff it down but going to go with an integrated engineering inlet now anyway so moved on...
arches to hold some proper rubber
ARB's
polycarb windows, one piece fronts with sliders
picked up a really cheap set of RS001s in 8x15 and redone the centres and barrels with just a blast and powdercoat laquer after giving them a brushed finish
got some new lips which are actually old narrow image barrels
they now measure in at 9.5 and 10.5
dug the car out from my sisters drive....been three years since I last started it
pulled the car out and a rough dry run with the new lips
bought some new fuel stuff, foam filled fia tank
swirl pot turned up(same as pics)with the wrong fuel connections so its getting changed
and got a new berg kit as I wanted to run fibreglass wings as well and it didnt make sense pot rivetting fibreglass to fibreglass especially when the guy I bought the og kit from started doing a combined wing and arch. Ordered it in a british racing green gel coat to avoid white stone chip speckles and also got the front dam although still unsure whether to run with it or a more aerodynamic front
Managed to pick up another couple sets of wheels and parts but progress is a bit slow just now. Hoping my next leave cycle will be a bit more productive. Had to take a couple weeks off there work to let some personal stuff play its course and the motivation took a major hit but. Next trip home im going to try and get some of the new bits on
