  • Sounds good bro. Blew a vac/boost pipe( the delete on top of the throttle body that from memory plumbed to the petrol breather canister) yesterday took a little to find and was a little worrying until I found it ofcourse. Used my brake with a little conviction today and results are impressive , although ecs say the ratio will be way front heavy now , they feel amazing.

    • Clutch is toast, on full boost it's just useless. Gonna tackle it soon hopefully this week.

        • Unsure jay could be the original factory I would say, as its only got 90k odd on the clock. Thinking of putting the alloy flywheel in the mk1 and using the steel flywheel I had lightened in the a3, need to see if they are interchangeable.

              • Haven't fitted it yet Chris , just wanted to get these things sorted first, and I hope jarred will be happy with my choice to give the lighter flywheel to the mk1.

                      • Are those injectors going to be able to keep up with the bigger turbo al?

How i wish i had as much initiative/ability.

                        • Combined with the 4 bar fpr they should be good, they are basically specced for mild turbo upgrades. And from what I'm learning a lot comes down to compatibility with your tune. But really am still unsure. Dropped a few ecu's to parso Rex so he could work a little magic and mate up the oettinger chip, which unfortunately was hacked up a little on removal.

                          • dropped the box last night, now anyone who tells you that its a piece of cake is fuu cken telling fibs, well with out an engine crane and so on anyway.

decisions decisions, gotta get the old(mk1 intended) flywheel resurfaced as its a wee bit rusty.

                            the aftermath.

time to get polishing not, just a quik lik of paint me thinks

the old dual mass flywheel and the decision before hand, you can see why a single mass flywheel frees up a few horses.just need some new hardware to suit the single mass vr6 format clutch/flywheel. the lightened flywheel is around half the weight of the dual mass monster, will weigh the 3 and let you know.

                              • ECU is pretty much Done Alex. The Audi one anyway, if the ECU wasn't from your car and immo gives us grief we can either do an immo off OR move it across too the VW one. I'll give it one check over tonight with the scope. Actually I might even put the thing in mine just quickly and vagcom it to check thats its still happy.
