6061 i believe there not worth it when they can be had for $23 delivered Shift Bracket Bushings
yer there is a lot of talk about spool up and so on but i can see both sides to the story, and in my mind less load and less weight is a good thing, and im sure the boost will come
i am very happy with the build and finish of the spec gear, all the parts are super tidy and very impressive now just gotta find some time to put it in

Ahh cool as mate. A friend of mine said he regretted going to a lightened flywheel in his MR2 because it wouldn't boost in first (not enough load), but i'm not saying it "won't" work, just wondering what difference it will make.
Yeah Rick said the spec gear i got is very nice. He was really impressed with the quality- Said they look exactly like a top fuel clutch (early stuff, not a Crower Glide). Guess i'll find out next month when the old man brings them back!
yer shall be interesting, what i have learnt is you can actually have to much/wasted boost under too much load, so i thinking it will combate this issue.
first gear is really hard to use due to traction issues (and the shortness of it)anyhow

With your flywheel it might actually suit the 1.8. I've played round with lightened and even heavier than stock flywheels in one of my other cars a bit though that one does have a bigger displacement so the effects are masked somewhat. I do think the heavier one was actually better for day to day driving. The lighter one is better for acceleration through the gears as you would expect but if its too light you'll think the thing lacks torque when cruising around V's the stock one.
What turbos going on it in the future btw or is that still undecided.
