i saw the gains from the new forge twintake set ups and had bits lying around,you are spot on re the filter being the restrictive element,so as you say more surface area more intake,3" pipe can flow a heap of air.

did you stuff it with steel wool ?

no steel wool just made the filter feed(the vertical one) travel a third of the way down the tank and open towards the wall as to stop oil splash and vapour hitting the filter full on

fitted the breather and rerouted and deleted some more useless crap got me thinking
next up pas reservoir , which mounts up nice n low in front of the alternator

wilwood master cylinder reservoir

making way for this

and some stage 2 for the rest, thanks to Tim at dub addiction and his super fast shipping

will get some engine bay pics up when the whole lot is finished

i am in the process of rebuilding them, front will go to 18x8 1/2 and the rears 9 1/2, they are pretty bent up at the moment just need to do some measuring and off to neale wheels for hopefully some magic
