sorted the stereo, repositioned it deeper in the dash as the design of the headunit has a stepped out large front, great bit of kit, super tech.

it has a hollow in the middle for mp3/ipod, with cables but i am at the moment using bluetooth audio from my phone(until the flash drive arrives,so them i will get cover graphics too on the 2 1/2" screen), very trick unit can make and receive calls directly from the stereo.

the raceland coilovers landed earlier this week, installed them this morning a very nice kit considering the cost. Thank god for spring compressors as i wasn't looking forward to removing the hub and so on, worked a treat.

am happyish with the rear just need a little finishing touch wink wink nudge nudge, the front had to come up a little due to rubbing on the sway bar , but that should be sorted with the adjustable links on the way.very happy as there is no tyre related rubbing.yet

      rears on

      fronts

a little camber will sort the rear to a tee

What do you think about the ride?

My mate put some in his Mk4 and i'm disgusted with how bad it rides compared to my Caddy and Pierre's Mk4 with KW's (Yes i understand you get what you pay for..).

havent really hit it as the rubbing is fairly decent, i'm not expecting the moon from them but they already feel tighter and more responsive, due mainly to the decreased suspension travel and lower ride height

cant complain for the price but full judgement will come

so after a week of heavy rubbing and thinking,i decided to chop, was toying with redoing the ends of the sway bar but after a good look at it that wasnt going to happen.

anyone looking for some adjustable end links??? got some on the way(thinking it may have helped the problem)no way

have also treated the car to some styling tweaks, may takes some pics tommoz

spent the last few afternoon s sorting a front mount, about the biggest you could fit up front really, has been quite a challenge but i working out well.

                  3 in outlet to throttle

making up some hard lines (1") for dv return, as i moving it to the cold side and out of site, turned some ends for hoses

                  full front

Nice work, what core did you end up using looks like a forged setup except bigger. Will the base of the core be out of sight or slightly exposed ?

tis a whoppa, has been a headfuk sorting but think i am 95% done sorted the dv and return today ended up super tidy(it sits behind the wing and behind the headlight on the underside of the 3" outlet)and has a hard line all the way to the TIP, just need some vac line for the dv and test drive is looming.

its just an ebay cooler, cant really justify or see the difference is spending big dollars, the core is 600x300x76 and will be totally hiden, just a little pipe work may be showing but very minimul, especially after it all gets the texture finish, it basically couldnt be anybigger under that bumper , snug as a bug

How is the front bar was there much chopping involved ?.
It looks good, some of the other Ebay jobs that I've been looking at on various forums end up dangling below the front skirt which looks crap IMO. I'm tempted to go down that path with some ATP gear If I don't grab an R straight away.
More pics of FMIC progress I hope
