had a few hours this morning to mount up the down pipe.
one of the simplest modified parts i have ever installed , took the old one off and mounted the new one.to my surprise no welding bending or grinding, and it even matted up perfectly to the factory pipe joiner
and the results are great, seems to give you all the boost i one chunk now, its much more direct and comes on so much faster .
super happy with it, havent thrown a code yet either (fingers crossed)
out with the old
and in with the new
set up some proper ramps to get it off the ground enough
and the poor mk1 looks on begrudgingly angry at the new mistress in my life

I would have gotten wood from the picture message you sent me.. But I was sniffing Nitro, so i already had it. Hahaha.
yer comes on a little earlier definitely(about 1/2 a k), but most noticeably is the pace at which it spools up, and all with very little change to the exhaust note(which i am keen to keep as quiet as poss)
good fun, am just plotting the next step , intercooler, am toying with a water to air cooler??

Same issue as me, an IC needs to be replaced and reprogrammed on the main board. I've set my initial volume to 1 so its bearable when you tun it on - just don't touch it. heres a link, http://www.erta.ru/review/chorus-problem_eng.shtml
I'd keep looking for an FMIC, water to air is OK up to a point but it can only do so much. Theres a lot of plumbing involved and not much room to play with
