Thanks guys, we're hoping to see Ziggy out again for SEDF.

We're trying to convince the owner to replace the seats with the ones out of a B2 Passat we have here.

Got the B2 seats into Ziggy yesterday.

543,000km on these seats.









Oddly the Passat rails are a little narrower the the golf but only a little so I could bend them out to the same width.

Yeah the B2 seats are incredibly different given there's only a handfull of years between them and the MK1 seats.

The B2 had done a lot less miles and all the foam is still perfect, they're really comfortable and supportive.

The colour is a great match, the vinyl on the sides is the same as the MK1 so it all blends in well.

We're hoping to be able to use the rear seat cushions in our B1.

The old seats are available if anyone wants them, the passenger seat is passable but the drivers seat needs new foam and repairs to the bolster.

Ziggy's back to visit for a few months while his owner sorts out some parking issues.

While he's here there's couple of little things I'll fix up, like the intermittent fault with the indicators. Just a loose connection somewhere.

We'eve already put the B2 window winders in it.

Zigg's even helping push stuff around the driveway.

We've been meaning to install this retro radio for a while.

Couldn't bear to cut anything for speaker holes, so it's got a 6" speaker up under the dash in the factory location.
