  • yet another tassie MK1 project.

Hey pplz. Just got my 76 2 door (3door).....((ex Golfkart's car))
in this thread i will go through basicly everything i do to it.
It's going to be a budget build up with daily driving in mind so to start with mostly tarting up the outside .... then as time goes by ill move to interior and motor........so ill begin with things ordered so far.

being a budget build up ive gone the lowered Kingsprings and monroe h/d shocks..

..Repco trades account comes in handy .... some adjustabe coilovers would be nice....but i want to go new where i can, and they aint cheap!!!

the project begins this long weekend.......just got a tonne of new bits for my GTi-R too, so the time will have to be shared, lol.
ill get some pics up asap.

MK2 will now get stripped ready for a nice new paint job, general tidy up and well deserved rest.
    Cheers, Benny

                    hey hey!
due to a motorcycle injury ive been a bit slow on the MK1.
got the front inserts and king springs (only fronts so far) in today. still sitting a little high because it hasnt had a drive with some time to settle.

been a little slack with pics, but heres one :-P

pulled off the front bumper and grill etc for a bit of a tidy up, next job is to do the rear n arrange some rims :-P

nsah they dont suit as well as the MK2 mate, better off going a nice 15inch rim
but its looking good thus far

having second thourghts about the "budget" option . . . .
im thinking it may take over from my GTiR pulsar.
sale of that will cash me up around 17g. so im actually thinking about giving it a little more attention than first planned...unsure yet.
might be the johnny walker blue label talking tho, haha.

                              few more pics.

got a lot of ideas at the moment, but those ideas dont match my bank balance .

possibly a 16valver, either to be droped in the mk2, then the 2E into the mk1..
or just drop the 16v into the mk1.
**also looking for a deeper chin spoiler if anyone has one laying around
                              Cheers, Benny
