                • one issue I need to get some ideas on.

Sounds like i've got a wheel bearing taht's being a bit tricky. Fronts are brand new, so I'm guessing rears are to blame.

symptoms: it's your basic whomp whomp whomp, and drone/hum. Goes away when turning right, or leaning left rather.

Solution? I'm geussing it's rear wheel bearings, I'm geussing that I'll be swapping bits over with the 76er and see how I go. or I've heard it could be tyres unevenly/badly worn. which they aren't. anything else cause this?

Just have to fix a few rattles in the dash vents & this whomp, and it's should be pretty right. Have to keep fiddling with the wheel alignment, something isn't hunky dory there.

oh yea, are GLD's prone to vibrating alot, esp through the steering wheel, just at idle?? anyone know what I mean?

                    • Sounds like its your right rear wheel bearing for sure. Just change the bearing (not a huuuuuge job) or swap the whole hub assy over from the 2 door if you're lazy.

If you do replace the bearing, remember to pack it properly.

Basically what you do is put some bearing grease in the palm of your hand, get the bearing and scrape the side of the cage through the grease hard against your palm, pushing the grease up in between the cage and the inner race. Do this working your way around the bearing as you go, from both sides.

                      Make sense?

Dom, it's hard to see... accelerating is a bit of a tough one in a GLD rememeber...
