    • Tadaaaaaah!

Reasonably productive weekend. Could have done it quicker, but took my time and cleaned everything, made a few things black etc.

All thats left to do: [in a manner of speaking]
      outer window scrapers.
      front windscreen
      front passenger seat
      misc interior bits and bobs.

      pics because they're awesome.

yes, you may photoshoppe the first one

          • front apron will be cover up in the end. I will end up getting something going on with the side trims. havn't decided exactly what. but that's not entierly crucial atm.

              • Looks good. It's almost my car's twin (too many doors) right down to the sticker on the back window (no, not the P plate, the other one ). And it's a couple of shades whiter too. Now that's real white. Is the tail gate from your old golf?

                    • hopefully once it's "done" it'll be dumped, but by more than 'abit'

Stephen; tailgate is actually from stu's old mk 1. I wanted to use mine but it was bent from the crash. Glass was still good though, which I'm glad about cause it's got the sticker on it, from before it was cool too
you wouldn't believe all the differences between early and late model cars, till you either get them side by side, or build one of each, all these sublte little features.

Just have to pop in the windscreen, change the DS seat belt, put new WB and outer CV's in, and it should be ready for RWC. & reg. By this friday?? I doubt it, but it's good to have a goal.

Anyone know any places to get bumpers straightened properly? Mine are bent..for obvious reasons

                              • If they need to be rechromed it could be quite expensive as it's a 3 step process to get a good result. I guess it depends on how bent yours are.

I've got a badly bent but otherwise good rear chrome bumper that needs fixing but the cost put me off.
