  • How good does the new Lotus car look. That paint job and the minimal sponsor stickers = cool.
    Cheers,

Well that is just a classic Lotus look isn't it. I have to agree, it looks very nice. Good so see them back on the grid I must say.

        • I love the look of the New Lotus, and the new Renault looks amazing!!

I was watching a couple of the unveiling's the other night.

The fact that Mercedes got Shumi is an absolute coup!! I thow that he used to race for them in sports cars in the early 90's, but I dare say that he won't be on Ferrari's mailing list for a long time!!

We got return flights on Jetstar from Sydney on a sale about 6 months ago for $45 each way. Out of Tullamarine too. bring it on!

How did you get that cheap flight, i have been looking for some cheap one since mid last year and i cant find any.

            • Bought them on the day that Jetstar announced they were going to Tullamarine more on a Jetstar super sale or something. Got lucky with that one.

Maybe the Brabham Package (Four Corner Grandstand Packages) if the budget can stretch it. $425

You'll get to sit at different parts of the track over the 4 days with the Brabham Stand on race day.

                  • Frig me that's expensive!!!!

I'm sooo keen though. I've not seen F1 cars in anger before, and just cannot wait to see them in action.

                      Oh you're gonna love it!

It is exxy, but if you really like F1 and it's not something you're going to be doing every year and YOU CAN afford it, doing something like the grandstand pass would be worth it IMO.

                      Cheers,

                      • not really that expensive - you get 4 days of entertainment for around 8 hours a day.

                        32 hours for $425 = $13/hour.

how much would a grandstand seat at another international event cost per hour?

                        • You make a very good point gareth. I'll have to sit down and sort out my moolah to see what I can do. I would very much prefer stands, standing for 8hrs x 4 days doesnt sound too fun!!

... and by a delightful turn of events, I'll be house sitting a unit less than a kilometre from the track

bonus on the house sitting gig Matty! That's an easy stumble back after a long day at the track.

Gareth makes a very sound financial point!
