It was a good race, interesting to see how far back he was and then the added grip saw the lap times get smashed.Originally posted by GOLFBALLS View PostJeez, I shoulda put some money on it!!! Good race.

Well that turned out to be a very interesting race.
Happy to see who took second and third.

Making up 15 places is a pretty good effort considering the lack of "safe" overtaking places at Valencia.Originally posted by Cookie28 View PostWas a great race, probably the best this season I was happy to see alonso win and webber made a fantastic run through the field

i discovered Redbull TV application on the weekend and am quite hooked on it. If you have a tablet or smart phone, the app is obviously redbull centric and has formula 1 videos, mountain biking, motorbikes, watersports, etc, etc. Lots of content. Just watched a short series on the junior redbull F1 team from Daniel Ricciardo's last race in 2010 and through the 2011 season.
Also been watching some of the downhill mountain biking world championships.
You'll need wifi to watch on mobile devices. I've also got an android box which plugs into the TV, it's essentially an android based media player with the same access of a tablet or phone, though for the TV. It's almost replacing free to air.
Oh, it's also available through the apple store, free to download.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI

I check out the Redbull channel on youtube as part of my daily web browse, the video they put up recently of Coulthard in the older F1 car advertising the Circuit of Americas is pretty silly but a lot of their other stuff is really interesting.Originally posted by seangti View Posti discovered Redbull TV application on the weekend and am quite hooked on it. Finest F1 documentary - ever
I just finished watching a 2010 documentary about F1 back in the sixties to mid-seventies that channel 10 screened in the middle of the night on the weekend.
Titled "Grand Prix - The Killer Years", you would be forgiven for expecting a sensationalist, expose style piece of tripe but it is in fact a sober, detailed and heart-rendering look at the era when speeds rose due to technological break-througths without any serious effort being devoted to safety. The sheer number of drivers who died in that period is simply staggering and the interviews with some of the mechanics, officials, surviving drivers and in particular, with Jochen Rindt's widow, were saddening and poignant. There is also footage of some of the accidents and their aftermath which makes you wonder how anyone chose race car driving as a career back then.
Hire it, download it, whatever - just watch it. It puts another recent and much lauded F1 "documentary" well and truly in the shade.Resident grumpy old fart

Yes, aside from one other former world champion who treated Sir Jackie with thinly veiled contempt during an interviewResident grumpy old fart

Sir Jackie did a flying 1 day visit to Perth 2 weeks ago and I was lucky enough to have lunch with him as guest speaker.
He is one very amazing guy. He is also dyslexic and said even today he can't recite the alphabet2007 Audi RS4 with: APR ECU Upgrade; JHM Quick Shifter; Milltek Catback and Downpipes; KW V3 Coilovers; Argon Creative Carbon Fibre Splitters
