      • What a joke that incident was, looks like Webber had to go on a bit of a fuel saving mode that's why Vettel caught up.

I agree with how Martin Brundle saw it, Webber gave him enough room to go down the side and Vettel turned into him. What a waste of a potential 1-2.

Mclaren look to be on a charge they weren't letting Red Bull get away.

        • I think that it was only a metter of time before Vettel overtook Webber, but what a stupid move by Vettel.

webber was very fortunate at the end of the day, dropping only to 3rd and vettel got what he deserved.

the bit of swapping by hammy and button was brilliant to watch too.

great race overall and good to see mclaren and redbull so competitive

Webber should be to blame for not pulling his pants down and lubing up for Vettel to pass him!
Like others have said, this hopefully will put Vettel in his place for the rest of the season.

I saw that too, after webber explained Hamilton had this look of disgust, then shook his head pretty obviously. Webber looked at him and nodded in agreement.

How hard would that post race conference have to be for webber, having to keep his cool and not go on a huge rant about how much of a little twat vettel is.

              • just saw some footage on youtube. i'd be pretty upset if I were him! given the speed involved, I reckon he was lucky to not have been taken out,

                • If you take a read of Formula1.com, it seems the team are actually annoyed with Mark. They reckon the team had given instructions before the race that if one of them was passing the other, the other must give them space. That, and they had told Mark *wink**wink* that if Vettle couldn't pass him then Hamilton was likely to pass Vettle which they didn't want. So to me it sounds like Red Bull are just as annoyed at mark as they are Vettle, and that team orders are likely to come into play from now on (...from reading between the lines of "it won't happen again"), but I'm not so sure it's Mark that will get the leg up unfortunately.

Sounds like the relationship between the poms isn't great either. Did you see how Hamilton gave Button the cold shoulder till he was remided he was in the public eye by the team? Hamilton commented that both he and Button were told to conserve fuel and were given target speeds, and next thing Button had caught and passed Lewis. That's why we heard (after Hamilton got the place back) Button being told that fuel was "critical" - "FFS Button, BACK OFF!"

So yeah, I reckon the gloves are off in both front running teams between the team mates for the rest of the season now. Pity Red Bull don't think Canada is going to be a good track for them. Might see the poms dominate that race.

                        • very interesting qualifying. decided to stay up until 2 am to watch it instead of studying.

                          schumacher...wow something seriously wrong there.
                          button is struggling majorly.

keen for tonight...webber starting on the prime tyre, most others on the option. including hamilton who's on the pole next to webber.

                          • Stay up until 4am to watch Hamilton not get a very very obvious drive through for being let out into the path of Alonso from the pit box to go on to win the race, what a waste of sleep.

Was a pretty exciting race though, lots of pitstops and passing.

                            • probably one of the best races to watch all year for me.

lots of strategy, lead changing and praying for webbers tyres. he should have gone prime, soft, prime not prime prime soft.

schumacher took too many angry pills last night i swear, he had about 4-5 incidents that were dodgy.

disliked seeing my two least favourite drivers on the podium, hamilton and alonso ergh.
