APR Had another first place on the weekend at Lexington Ohio.

There are no 130 BMW's for them to race against it seems (the 130 never imported into the US?) - but they do compete against 328's & Z4's.

I drove a car in last years race. We had manufacturer backing but they still have to justify spending so much money on an event like that. I would love to do it in a VW though.

The race costs $50000 - $60000 depending on how you do it and what you class as running costs. You need re-fuelling rig, a lot of people, tyres, brakes, spares, food, accomodation, transport etc.etc... Then you need a car (of course) which will need a re-build after the race. And hopefully you don't crash it!

APR have another win - it's their other car & driver pair - but, thats three in a row!

Hopefully VW will help them out with some new MKVI GTI's for next season!
