I'm running Castrol GTX2. Seems to last better than the fully synthetic Fuchs I was running... and it's much cheaper.

10w40 vs 20w50 which means it works better in a hotter engine.
Same oil my car is running as well atm...

Yeah and it has "Intelligent Molecules". Can't beat that!

But seriously, castrol oils are good (even if they have really stupid marketing ploys). I use them in all my cars. The old man uses it at the workshop.

Hahaha Hawk I check my oil constantly, I'm worried it'll run dry but the level of it has hardly moved and is still sitting just below the mid-point...I'm actually quite surprised, but alas I'll do an oil drop soon for the sake of it When I put the new clutch and maybe electrics in I'll need some good new oil to burn through...heheheheh...

Penzoil make an oil for "Older Engines". A bit more viscous, cuts down smoke quite a bit. I use Penrite HP30 10w-50w in the MK1, it's recommended in most rear engine aircooled VW's and Porches, also good for water cooled.
