But seriously, castrol oils are good (even if they have really stupid marketing ploys). I use them in all my cars. The old man uses it at the workshop.

Hahaha Hawk I check my oil constantly, I'm worried it'll run dry but the level of it has hardly moved and is still sitting just below the mid-point...I'm actually quite surprised, but alas I'll do an oil drop soon for the sake of itWhen I put the new clutch and maybe electrics in I'll need some good new oil to burn through...heheheheh...

Penzoil make an oil for "Older Engines". A bit more viscous, cuts down smoke quite a bit. I use Penrite HP30 10w-50w in the MK1, it's recommended in most rear engine aircooled VW's and Porches, also good for water cooled.'68 Notch Convertible
