I cleaned my car and took some photos, no water involved. I also took a couple shots of my 7in monitor, and colour coded rear spoiler. Car will more than likely be for sale soon..soooo.
Daaaaamn it still looks very clean. Pity that you're thinking of selling it So are you going for a VR6? Mk4 GTI? Or something totally different?
It all depends on the ca$h situation Ray..I'm thinking IS200 or GS300 but i'm torn at the moment. I'll probably on be here next year showing pictures of my in car PC or something else in the golf..never say never.

Hey Alex..i used waterless carwash from those people whose name escapes me..i also used cans of tyre foam on everything black and window cleaner on the windows and rims.. Now the paint is quite slippery and should stay clean for a while..

asdfghkjl did you use tyre foam on the black textured bumpers? I've got two full bottles of this stuff and if I can use it on the bumpers I will!!
And was it easy/a good idea to use window cleaner on the rims? I can never get mine clean..
Cheers

Yeah I used tyre foam..it works pretty well. I just spray it on an leave it for a while, then I wipe it over. I guess you should test it on the back of the car first ,cause all my textured stuff is under the car without the sun on it. I would hate for the top of your front bumper to come out all wacky. But it my VR lip looks like new again so?
As for the rims, mine have got the polished lip and they look good with the window cleaner on there. But they have to be half clean to do it otherwise it's scratchville u.s.a .
When I bought the rims the guy said "dont clean these with anything you wouldn't use on your face, u can use window cleaner" I said "u use window cleaner on your face? figures.."
So you had a good go with the waterless stuff... I can't bring myself to use it. I just can't get past the rubbing dirt into the car thing. I know a few mates who swear by it.
I keep meaning to go by when he is going over it to see how it "feels" to use. Really though, you can't beat the old bucket and sponge/mitt.
If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
