  • I Want to paint my black MKV Gti Matt Black

I've decided that my car has toon many blemishes in the paint and Im thinking Matt black. 1) Because it looks cool & 2) because my mate owns a paint shop with spray booth and it will cost me fa.

Any one know of a paint colour code for the matt black?

Paulie. Why don't you just get it wrapped? If you ever change your mind or want to sell you can just peel it off. It will definitely look awesome.

        option 1) vynal wrap
        option 2) plasti-dip
        option 3) full respray

Option 1 and 2 are reversable.

and I don't know that matt black has a paint code. matt black is matt black! lol

Personally, I think it'll look ****e after a week (it'll always look dirty) and drop the resale phenominally! hence I would do option 1 or 2

FYI, Vinyl wrap is about $3k or so give or take.... not that I have ever looked into these things

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Cheaper than painting and reversible. ++ IMO

As good as matte looks it needs a lot more maintenance to look good. You'll need to use matte specific products (that are usually expensive) to get the best results.

Please don't paint it Matt black......it looks cheap!

As others have said, if you really want to do it then vinyl wrap it.

Guess I should have been more specific. I am interested to know how the colour is made up Every color has a paint code. I'm assuming there is no clear on top? Not sure what is the final finish?

There are three ways the Matte finish is achived, no clear coat (cheap way), using a matte clear coat, or using regular gloss clear coat with matting agent.
