  • Best all round wash and leather conditioner?

Picked up a new cw golf r last weekend and was wondering what the best all rounder car wash and leather conditioner is?
I didn't get dealer paint or leather protection and would most likely wash the car monthly (always parked undercover day and night with no)

I'm currently using Duragloss Leather Shampoo and Conditioner on the leather and the Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate on the outside.

I have to say I love the smell of the products in use! The car wash smells like cherry and the leather just smells deep and leathery while your conditioning it... (but then I'm just strange like that).

I got all my current gear from CarCareProducts (one of our sponsors):
Car Care Products / Car Care, Car Wax, Car Polish, Car Covers, Car Detailing Products & more ...

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

So I'm finally going to get around and do the leather...the car has only 2000kms so I'm guessing the shampoo won't be needed??
Whats best way to apply the conditioner? The pack I received had a brush, sponge and cloth.
And how long should I be waiting until I can sit back in seats?

apply the conditioner with the sponge, rub in, wipe with micro fibre cloth after.
I don't sit on mine for at least a couple of hours....thats just me.

Duragloss 441 - Shampoo - use the brush if need be (no pressure, just to agitate the dirt). Although being a new car not needed.
Otherwise you can spray, use the MF cloth to clean the seats.

Duragloss 221 - Conditioner, apply about 20-50c piece on a foam applicator and simply wipe over your seats including stitched areas etc and it'll absorb into the seats. If you have a wet spot just wipe over again so it'll absorb into the seats.

You can use the seats within half hour no issues. But you do notice the full effects and suppleness of the seats after a few hours.

You do not need to wipe with a mf cloth afterwards.
            What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

              PAN,
I realise you asked about leather, but I just wanted to second the comment above re Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate. It also works brilliantly in a snow foam lance (about 50ml p/L of water), which if you are only going to wash once a month mightn't be a bad idea to use before a two bucket wash.

As your car is brand new you might want to consider just giving the leather a wipe down with a damp cloth, and then applying a sealant like the Nanolex Textile And Leather one (brilliant for Skoda Octavia vRS seats), and 303 Products Aerospace Protectant for your non-leather interior trim. I promise you, you'll never want to use ArmorAll again.

Again, as you'll be leaving it a while between washes you might also consider some exterior protection. I'm not a fan of dealership paint protection either, but a good polish is a must. Again, I'm using Duragloss. The Duragloss 601 Polish Bonding Agent goes onto a clean dry car, and doesn't need to be buffed off before applying Duragloss 105 Total Performance Polish, which is a snap to put on, and rub off. The results are amazing, and depending on your environment will last for 6 month to a year easily. A spray of Duragloss Aquawax (applied while the car is wet after washing) while you dry your car will maintain a gleaming finish, and make it easier to clean when you do get around to washing.

There are higher end products around, but for great results, requiring minimal effort, at affordable prices, I can't recommend these products highly enough. Car Care Products have all of the above. They do some of these in kits, or they can be bought individually. If you give them a bell they'll be more than happy to advise you. They were the next guys I spoke to after the insurance company when I bought my car.
