How does one go about applying this Kiwi Shoe polish?

I assume it's just on a cloth, then wipe...?
    Now owns a golf. Stoked.

I used a old foam pad. I suppose anything works but tooth brushes..nasty streaks.

Kiwi shoe polish comes in that dispenser that you put onto shoes.... so, use it! I did, it's been there for WEEKS and hasn't dulled down. I re-applied it about three weeks after three washes and a bit of rain, and i couldn't see a difference from old and new, where I was using it.

If you get it on the paint, just make sure you have an old t-shirt style of cloth ready to wipe it off. otherwise it's a bit of an effort to wipe it after it dries.

          Best product to blacken bumpers

Hey there, i have used all sorts of products to keep my bumpers black and like new, having all sorts of problems through the years ranging from the whitening of the bumpers in the heat, running, water marks, attraction of dirt and dust and the most common fading effect causing someone such as myself to be polishing the bumpers constantly. For the last few months i have actually had none of these problems all thanx to a product called 'Black Forever' that u can find in ur local super cheap for around $15. All you do is apply the polish with a sponge that is attached to the head of the bottle to work as an applicator and leave for 15 minutes to soak in and dry. once done there will be no runs, no fading, no dust or whitening. its actually a bumper and trim dye for all those plastic areas on our cars (outside) and it is absorbed by the plastic that has become tired and dry over the years. This restores it to new condition and even after countless washed and rainy days the bumpers are still as black as new with none of the above mentioned problems or the dreaded transference to ones hands or clothing when hoping in and out. Just be sure to keep in clear from any painted areas as it does stain, but its not hard to avoid. Hope this helps, laters

Oh and have i mentioned that i only applied it once or twice since i had it and i still have heaps left and dont think i'll needs to apply for another few months, like i sed its unlike any other product out there as instead of sitting on the surface of the plastic its actually absorbed into the plastic and thus remedying the problem once and for all. for some cars with large plastic areas such as mine where the bumper is completely black i felt like it needed two coats allowing the first to dry before reapplying which is obvious and as i have sed, never needed to reapply and this is me who washes the car at least once a week with high pressure guns etc. try it, u wont regret and this is not a advertisment although it may seem like one, just a really good product and experience i'd like to share, laters.

Panel Beaters have a neat trick that may have been mentioned previously and worked a treat on my old Mk2 GTI, Get a heat gun and put it on low heat setting hold around 5 to 10cm away from the bumper and gently pass it back and forth over the bumper, watch it go back to factory finish before your eyes. I was absolutely amazed when the panel beater demonstrated on my wifes Landrover Discovery. Beats all the paints and polishes etc

Save your time, old panel beaters trick. Grab a heat gun and pass it over the bumper with a good 10cm clearance. Watch the natural black come back before your eyes!.

looks interesting. do you have any idea how long it lasts before it needs another application?

It lasted 6 months before i sold my Landrover Discovery, the bumpers looked really grey, but looked as if you'd just sprayed 20 litres of Armorall on them after the heatgun trick. A panelbeater on our 4wd trip told me that it works on all non painted plastic bumpers, i tried it on my neighbours ford laser bubble back and he nearly had a heart attack with the results!. I'll be using it on the rear of the GTI in a few years when the fade sets in.

Or you could prevent fade by applying 303 aerospace protectant or OCW to the bumper fortnightly

Thanks Dan i'll be putting the 303 on. WHat do you think about the AG line of products as they sell them around the corner at mascot repco. The detailing.co.uk site seem to give them a big wrap.

They are alright. I use their instant tyre dressing and autofresh sometimes. TBH there is better out there imo
