One day, lol. Just like i'm getting decent window tint... hahahaha

the bumper things is a massive job, took me forever to do two pieces, now the skirts have to come off. I have to resist experimenting on that trim as well... Yeah anyways, how do you take the side skirts off outa interest?

Just tried some VHT hood and bumper paint on the VR6 hatch spoiler, came up pretty good but ensure the nozzle is cleaned regularly, has a habit of gunking up quickly. Took the car for a wash after drying to see how it came out, still looks good and no need for armor-all, gotta love that Will probably do the rest of the plastics when I get a chance.

          Hi Guys,
the German Auto Parts company 'Worth' make a product for VW that is actually a dye for the plastic trims.
I have used it for years. 1 application per year is normally enough.
          Makes them look like new.

          Cheers,

          Simon

At the car wash that i go to the vending machine sells this stuff called Black Jack. Comes in a sache with a golve and a little sponge. Its a gel substance and costs $2. Does the whole care and if you use the right amount on each part and dont spill any you can do ALL the trim on a mk2 and tires with 60 profile. The stuff lasts about 3 washes and wont come off for months, the more you use it the longer it lasts, its been about my 4th use of it and my 7th wash and its still there, starting to faid now but still there.

                              Thread Resurrection!

About a week ago after moving house I found some of that Kiwi shoe polish...put away in a dusty box after I bought school shoes that never needed polishing

Decided to use some on the bumpers. I tell you what, you'll need some time to apply it to something like my early VR. Lots of bumper to cover. I think I would have used about half a bottle max, and from memory they're 3.99 in my Woolies store!

After a week, including one high-pressure wash, three raining nights and lots of dew, I'm very surprised to find absolutely no signs of streaking, nor any noticeable fade.
Moral to my rant - I recommend Kiwi shoe polish!
