Any of you good folk that have applied it talk to the durability and shine after having applied it some time ago.
    Hey mate,

Providing the condition of your paint is very good, and from your description sounds like its pretty immac from how you take care of it.

Nanolex will offer up to 12 months protection from one application. A single bottle can easily do your car + wheels twice over as well. Very easy to apply and all instructions are included in the kit including applicator and cloths.

The longest so far on a non exotic style car (lol.... (Chrysler Cruiser)) was applied by Dan from DMS Detailing and 13 months later (maybe 14 now?) it seems to be still going quite well from the pictures i have seen/video however i am having trouble finding it. Maybe Dan will read this and throw it up?

WE are definitely keen to hear anyones results, whether good or bad so we can know our selves how everyone from different areas of AUS are going!

Doesn't really apply to SF but feedback none the less. I'd have to say that if the car is parked outside and it isn't possible to wash regularly (aka not like my bloody missus) then don't bother.

I did the full detail on her CW Polo, came up great. But car isn't garaged and she refuses to go past a carwash every week to give it a 2min hose off because she doesn't have time (aka its too cold outside). Annoyed (at her lol) because I wasted 2 days washing, claying and sealing the car until it came up better than new.

I've given up on it because its now so filthy again that it needs another clay to get rid of all the crud that seems to be magnetically attracted to Candy White. Being nanolex'd doesn't seem to help once you get past that ~2-3 week period of baked on rubbish.

On the flipside, same treatment on my R is going great. I can go 2-3 weeks without washing and the car is easy as hell to wash. I can only assume that difference is that my car is garaged or Rising Blue is magic

dave did you use the spray on Nanolex sealant or the one in the small bottle that you use an applicator pad to apply?

Small bottle and applicator pad, didn't know there was a spray one. Spray would be a pain around plastics etc, at least the applicator can be guided where you want it?

They're for different purposes though, to my understanding. The bottle is the sealant you use to get the 12 months+ protection. The spray is what you use to "top up" the protection after general washing etc, rather than traditional polymer based "quick detailing" sprays.

Ah ok, don't recall Pierre ever saying anything about that but it was info overload hehe
I just wash with dodo purple something and then dry, body work still feels smooth so the spray bit sounds like more work for me!

Yes the paintwork on the Subaru is better than when it rolled off the production line.. people always comment on it. Disappointed I don't have a 3 car garage otherwise the question wouldnt have been asked.

I intend to continue to maintain it in the best condition but want a tougher protectant.. was starting to look at LSP like Zaino but figured I would go a level above that.

Anyway while I have some attention, if I go down this path is it just a case of prepping the paint with a clay, doesn't really need correction, I usually use Menzerna for that followed by lime prime and wax.. but is it just a case of lime prime and apply nonolex..?

Lime Prime (as opposed to Lime Prime Light) has a very fine abbrasive action for removing really fine swirls and stuff. So if you were using it for that property of it, then fine. But if you were using it for its "wax/sealant bonding" properties, then it's not required. The nanolex has two parts - a quick "Paint Cleaner" step, and then the sealant. Thus, you could skip the Lime Prime.

Clay > (Wash again if required) > Nanolex Paint Cleaner > Nanolex Sealant.

I'd talk to CCP before using the Lime Prime instead of the Nanolex Paint Cleaner though...

OK, forgive me my stupidity but, I'm about to wash my new Golf for the first time (mind you, never washed a car before, had Lancer and didn't pay much attention to it - it drove and I was happy about it ).

So what do I need to get from the shop and the correct washing procedure?

So far I narrowed it down to:

                    TO BUY
                    2 buckets for car wash

Mint Microfibre General Purpose Cloth (Car Care Products / Mint / Car Accessories / Cloths & Chamois / Microfibre General Purpose Cloth)
Mint Microfibre Drying Towel Waffle (Car Care Products / Mint / Car Accessories / Cloths & Chamois / Microfibre Drying Towel Waffle Weave Large)
Mint Microfibre Glass Cloth (Car Care Products / Mint / Car Accessories / Cloths & Chamois / Microfibre Glass Cloth)

Nanolex Reactivating Shampoo (Car Care Products / Nanolex / Exterior / Wash Shampoos / Reactivating Shampoo)
Nanolex Premium Paint Sealant Kit (Car Care Products / Nanolex / Exterior / Paint Sealant / Premium Paint Sealant Kit)
Nanolex Glass Sealant Kit Premium (Car Care Products / Nanolex / Interior / Glass / Glass Sealant Kit Premium)
Nanolex Alloy Rim Sealant Kit (Car Care Products / Nanolex / Exterior / Wheel Sealant / Alloy Rim Sealant Kit)

Do I need one of those electric swirly things to apply all this stuff or can I do it by hand?

(Looks like a lot of stuff, is there anything on the list that I don't need? some cloth is included in the kit but are they the same as the ones listed above?)

                    PROCEDURE
                    - Wash the car with Nanolex Reactivating Shampoo, using 2 buckets with warm water (no hotter than +60C), using Mint Microfibre General Purpose Cloth.
                    - Dry the car with Mint Microfibre Drying Towel Waffle
                    - Apply Nanolex Paint Cleaner
                    - Apply Nanolex Glass Cleaner
                    - Apply Nanolex Alloy Rim Cleaner
                    - Wash off
                    - Apply Nanolex Paint Sealant
                    - Apply Nanolex Glass Sealant
                    - Apply Nanolex Alloy Rim Sealant

                    Have I missed anything?
What about NanoWax and what is Clay does (I saw some people were mentioning "clay"?
Do I need to apply NanoWax after I've done all of the above or not?

As I said, never washed a car before and want to do it right.

After I apply Nanolex products (to the paint, glass and rims), do I just wash the car then every 2-3 weeks by using Nanolex Reactivating Shampoo and 2 buckets and then dry the car with Mint Microfibre Drying Towel Waffle and do nothing else???

Thanks for your help and guidance.

If there a big difference in products such as shampoo amounts brands?

I would apply it by hand. I wouldn't use any cheap electric polisher, ever, it can ruin the paint, be careful.

Yeah i've got both, the spray and the small bottle.

I've mentioned this previously but the reason why i asked is i have trouble when using the one you use with the applicator pad, no matter how much i use i find it difficult to buff off, yet you and many other people have found it easy to apply.

You should be using approx say maybe a couple drops at a time. A Golf R Bonnet say approx 4-6 drops per quarter of the bonnet.

Example, You do one quarter, do the second quarter. When you have finished the first quarter wipe the first quarter off and it will remove easily. Do the 3rd quarter, when you finished the 3rd quarter wipe off the second quarter and continue to the fourth. Confused? lol

If you over use the product and you are unable to remove the product, simply apply a few small drops and reapply on the area you are in it will remove/add a new coat.

Its hard to grasp the concept of how little you use of a Nano Product to be honest, we are still adapting to it ourselves!

I found on the first few goes, the pad has nothing on it so it doesn't glide as easily over the paintwork? I grabbed the edge of the pad and folded it around my thumb/index finger (nfi how to explain) so like 2/3 of the pad is touching the paintwork. Made it much easier to use and eliminated the possibility of it slipping from your hand.

But yeh, I reckon after 2 cars, the bottle has been hardly touched. If you try and do too much of an area at once the stuff does get a bit harder to buff off but even when I did half the bonnet or roof at once it wasn't an issue. And to be fair, I'm the laziest bloke around so if I didn't find it much of an effort, no one else should have an excuse
