Just because it isn't listed on the Michelin AU website doesn't mean it isn't available as a parallel import locally or as a self import from overseas.
I have seen on eBay Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres available in 225/45 R17 94W XL several times in the past, though not recently.

In contrast, Michelin's European websites (e.g. Michelin United Kingdom or Michelin France) correctly makes recommendations based on size designation and service description.
Despite that, tyre manufacturers almost always defer to the vehicle manufacturer in regards to recommended factory tyre fitments and inflation pressures. Vehicle owners and operators should do likewise. Do not rely solely on a third-party.
The vehicle manufacturer should always be your first point of contact.

I don't think you can fit a lower load rating. You can fit a higher rating.

The GCM is simply the maximum braked trailer load of 1800 kg added to the gross vehicle mass (GVM) of 2135 kg.
Again, it is more relevant to focus on the maximum front and rear axle loads, rather than the GVM - but even so, that alone doesn't tell you very much. The only conclusion one can deduce from that is a 225/45 R17 94W XL tyre was deemed appropriate by Skoda to support these loads.
It doesn't necessarily follow that a tyre with a lesser load index would likewise be appropriate, even if it could support the same static axle loads. Apart from the engineers at Skoda, no-one could tell you for certain.
Remember, this just one of many factors which influence the vehicle manufacturer's tyre choice.

91 is 615kg isn't it? I'd run with it but wouldn't sell them to anyone as the placard says minimum 630kg (disregard the sizes). 15kg per corner difference wouldn't concern me & the chances of it becoming an insurance issue are insignificant. I can understand why others would be averse to this risk.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

4" screwnail through the sidewall on RO of my 18k km Dunlop SP Sport Fast Response at the weekend. Too much on to trail across town to Tempe Tyres so settled for two 235/45 17 97W's Pilot Sport 3's from local B Jane on the rear. (If Nov/Dec weren't the months for multiple car regos/insurance etc I'd have had all four).
I'm certain the car is quieter and smoother running with only 50% of the rubber changed.2012 Superb Elegance TSI Sedan- Candy White - Bog Standard!
