Yep - probably, although I have been annoyed about the number of rattles in this car. (See my other post). I've NEVER had a car with more rattles / squeaks. They are everywhere - it's like driving around in a 20 yr old ute.

It's actually embarrassing taking passengers around. I keep the radio on!

Actually the quoted numbers are not too far off the redbook values. $21,700 at the lower end.

Not my experience, mine had one under car clunk that happened over driveway laybacks that seems to have been fixed.

Guess what - you're not alone. My Octavia held the record for most rattles in any car I've owned or driven (company cars). Mind you, new car different brand still has rattles as well so there's not necessarily any escape.

My experience in trading the Octavia is that it came down to whether the dealer wanted to sell me a car or not - bottom to top difference was $4,000 and I could have had more out of the top trade if I'd wanted that brand of car. At the least 2 groups - the 'don't cares' who offered bottom of the range trade and the 'do care's' closer to the top of the range.
