Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Rear Parking Aid: Constantly sending signal (beeping) while in reverse

    Hey guys,

even though my car is still in the warranty so I guess it will be covered by it, I'm curious if anyone knows the approximate cost of the parking sensor, its part number and if we have a manual somewhere on how to detach / attach those things along with removing the bumper step-by-step?

    Cheers

You can buy an hour on ERWIN for 10 Euro and download the workshop manual for any VW. If its under warranty dont play with it or they may get a bit antsy. Just book it in and get them to fix it

U don't need to remove the entire rear bumper to access the rear sensors.
Just remove the bottom black diffusor.
There r 4 screws underneath, and a clip at either end, and across the entire top. About 7 or 8 in total.
      Unplug the parking sensors loom.
      Unplug the virtual pedal loom.
      Then off it comes.
