I've got to say fitting the bar was much harder than suspected. The main issue is getting the sueprpro bushes into the control arm. 1 side went in with some effort. The passenger side is just too big to fit in the space. Stock links are 59.5mm and these ones are 61.5mm, that 2mm means it won't go in. Can you compress these? I tried a small vice and it didn't compress, instead I'm taking an angle grinder to it tomorrow morning. Spent 3 hours on it this afternoon, and I can normally do a full suspension swap in 2 hours.

hey mate, I had the same problem and broke a C Clamp trying to compress one side. The other side, like yours was not a problem.
But I had success with the nut and bolt that mounts it to the control arm - tightened it enough to compress it and it went in pretty easily.

yeah I feel better thanks
The car feels flatter than before. Also if you go over a speed bump at an angle, you can feel it through the back more.
I'm leaving it in the soft setting for now. I can't call it a transformation, it could do with a lower ride height and a wider track but it's nice

I read your post and found a high tensile bolt perfect for it, compressed it and fitted in the morning, much much easier.
I think the tips are:
1. Detach the stock links from sway bar before removal.
2. Drop the rear of the exhaust slightly by removing rear 2 bolts and slip off rubber bush from hanger near fuel tank (silicon spray work wonders to remove and refit)
3. Remove stock sway bar and links with increased room after exhaust dropped slightly.
Refitting:
4. Push the new mounts into the bar ends before getting under the car, both the upper and lower holes. The paint inside the holes means the new bolts wont' fit without pushing the paint coating out - too tight.
5. If the new mounts won't fit into the control arms you can compress them with a strong bolt, nut and washer. Measure the stock items to compare.2015 Octavia VRS wagon - Manual

I have the new bar on the softer setting and you can definitely feel and difference but it might not be enough. This feels like how the car should be from the factory. Better turn-in, faster responses, more neutral stance around the corner. Feels like it is rotating closer to the driver now rather than before it felt like it was rotating further back near the rear of the back seat.
I'll keep it like this and maybe go harder depending upon feel in some faster corners.
FWIW I measured the stock bar and the new bar with calipers in several spots.
the stock bar is 19.5mm
the new bar is 22.7mm
I suspect the stock bar started with 19mm and added paint. The new bar is 22mm plus thicker paint. So this is a 3mm thicker bar.
The arms length (radius from centre) is now 130mm, down from 140mm standard. the harder setting is 115mm.2015 Octavia VRS wagon - Manual

Also, I would hope that the interesting stuff still gets posted to these forums eventually - even for historical records. Facebook is not an easy place to find content when Googling.MY16.5 Octavia RS wagon, manual, Moon White + tech pack + 18" black pack.

I agree the forum is a good place to search for data but answers can take ages and the message feature keeps failing with the small data storage lol
The group is more just a chat room for the Skoda nuts
