Massive kudos to dean at vw central who has taken the online price back to the supplier and beaten it for us
Vw central is a bricks and mortar business owned by a fellow car enthusiast so I feel far better supporting him than an online business with very little over heads
The new price is $374.00 ea for the full kit
I trust everyone is still on board [emoji41]

I had been busy speaking to a couple of tuning and suspension companies going through the benefits / costs of the brands before we ended up with the super pro and pricing
Dean was one of those guys that went above and beyond what I would have expected even calling out side of business hours to discuss some of the USA brands we had original had in our sights
We got the right price in the end [emoji4]

Quick question, I have an old VCDS cable and software (11.11) that I use on my Audi no problems. Has anyone used older software to recode one of these cars?

I have a list of edits I wish to perform but I do not want to screw up a 2 day old car.

Providing its a genuine Ross tech cable I believe you can get the upgraded software for this platform

I got the anti roll bar in, thanks Jason

It feels pretty good in my 1 min test drive

It wasn't difficult but I had a bit of a fight with an end-link, it was too thick to go into the control arm. I tried to compress the bushings and broke a G-clamp, but had a win after I compressed it using simple nut & bolt

Took about 45 min all up, leaving it in the soft setting for now.

Can't wait to get mine fitted once the hand is better, will be before the track day in a few weeks

I just fitted one of the superpro RSB's yesterday, to get the new longer bolts in I pushed those through the end links first before fixing the bolts on the bushing clamps and they went in no problems, all up took 20 minutes. Backing it up on to ramps rather than using car stands makes it easy. Makes a huge difference in handling, I have gone the hard setting straight off the bat and have to say ride quality hasn't been noticeably impacted so would suggest going this setting to get the maximum benefit in handling.

For those installing the rear sway bars, I'd love to hear some feedback after you go to one of the track day/happy laps things. Particularly whether you can induce lift-off oversteer with them fitted. That's the oft-quoted downside to just doing the rear on a FWD car, but I don't know how much it actually affects the Octavia in practice.
