  • Anyone know the width and offset of these? Advice for offset?

    Hey guys,
Trying to work out what fitment to go for with some after market wheels on my 08 VRS wagon. At the moment I have these factory wheels:

Does anyone know the width and offset of these? Trying to work out what to get so they sit a bit more flush but don't want scrubbing. If anyone can reccomend a width and offset to achieve this it would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks guys
    Simon

    I believe they're Zeniths, 18 x 7.5 ET51.

Pretty sure you'll find the fitments for the Skoda will be similar to the equivalent Golfs, possibly with a little more room in the rear guards again.

Something in the 18 x 8 ET45-48 range would look good and not generally cause any rub issues - you can go up from there but then risk the possibility of scrub depending on your suspension.

Would recommend checking into what some of the Skoda guys have done as I am far from an expert.

According to this they're 7.5in wide and ET51 OCTAVIA ALLOY WHEEL ZENITH VRS 18 INCH 2005-2008

        I'd try an 8 wide and et45-40.

Thanks cbay, probably looking at getting some of these:

          ENKEI T6S 18x8+45 5-112 MatteBlack

They fit the specs that should suit.

I have the exact same wheel specs on my 2012 vRS wagon with 225/40/R18 tyres. The fronts sit pretty close to flush with the stock guards and the rears are about 5-7mm in from the guards. If spacers were legal I'd whack a spacer in the rears for sure.

I find the following website very handy for comparing

I'm about to go to 235 tyres to get a little extra width on the rears.

Largest I'd say to go is 18x8 ET48.
I have 18x8 ET44 and with 235/40R18's they scrub all four corners. With 225's they're not so bad.
Going back to some 18x7.5 ET51's as soon as I find some that fit, though - these are too heavy!

                    Is yours lowered?

It is, yes - but that means the wheels sit closer into the guards all the time.
If it wasn't lowered, they would still scrub when flexing suspension; as in entering a steep car park or a driveway.
