Traffic Info Activation

I just got my OBDeleven, now I have to get it working on my Kindle Fire HDX which they say will work once I get the app onto it via APK downloader.

So I managed to get the app onto the Kindle Fire HDX, however while it runs it won't connect to the OBDEleven device. Any have any pointers? The tablet can connect directly via Bluetooth and that connection stays, but the app says not connected. It's also asking to be updated even though it's the same version as the current one.

Went and sawthe dealer today that I bought from and asked to have it activated. Booked in for Wednesday morning 8:30am for them to take a look at. The service manager sat in the car with me and said hmm strange it should work just like the VW cars witht the same head unit. I told him and showed him it had been deactivated from the factory and said I wanted it activated. So now booked in. Hears hopping.

I doubt that they will do it, as it's outside of the standard specifications for the car and Skoda doesn't pay SUNA for the rights to use it.

Activated TMC on the weekend, along with fan speed indication when climate control set to auto. Also set Soundaktor volume to 50% (49.8% to be precise) - way better!

Ok so I have just got back frommy local Skoda / VW dealer, where I bought the car from and Smart1 you are correct. Exactly what you said. Anyway was worth a shot, only lost half hour of my time. In that time they had a brand new 04/16 build vrs sedan with the camera in the rear vision mirror. The car was an undercoat grey colour waiting for predelivery.
Now I need to find someone in Perth region to enable TMC and a couple of other things ? Any one here in Perth got any suggestions?

I'd look at buying an OBD11, then you can do it all youself. Only 55 euro delivered is pretty good value.

I've come across 2 cars now where I haven't been able to successfully activate traffic. One an Alltrack and one Wolfsburg R. Adaptation channels are there etc but doesn't ever enable.
Anyone had a similar experience and or found a solution?

Hawk (Aaron) did mine recently but was as others described, one of the radio text buttons was gone, but it came good once I drove around. We couldn't get the interior tailgate button or the keyfob to enable though, it wanted a code that wasn't the usual ones.

Ok bit the bullet OBD11, bought, should be here when I get back from work in a couple of weeks.

I've set it up on 2 x O3 and not had any problems. I just found that it takes a few minutes to get the original signal then it's on its way. I will say that it's not as good as google maps on my phone though, it seems to not show congestion anywhere near as well.

I've had it work on 3 other cars, just not on these newer ones. I think something may have changed.
