I might take you up on that.. I am tempted to get the VCDS myself as between myself and my extended family there are 5 VAG cars, but wasn't sure how much experimentation is required to get stuff working.

It can only be done on skoda octavia mk3 and golf 7 new generation head units not RNS510. Shame your not in Brisbane.

What is required to happen to get it to work? What else can get unlocked?

All worked fine in the end.. slight different head unit settings on my16 but did activate as per normal after a period of time.

I've got an MY16 model as well. How did you get it to work on yours?

After VCDS coding just tick radio text on the radio menu and then in time the traffic alerts appear.
