Extended Warranty

Long time lurker here, first time poster.
I picked up my MY15.5 Octavia vRS DSG kombi 2 weeks ago and had ordered it with the 2 year warranty extension. Just wondering what paperwork others received to verify that the car is covered by the extended warranty. All I got was a piece of paper stating that the warranty is 5 years, but it makes no reference to the car as in staing the VIN, just a signature from the sales consultant and myself. The stickers on the car also state 3 year warranty as well, not 5 but I'm guessing that is just the standard sticker they put on the car. Curious to hear what others have.

Download the Skoda app, enter your VIN number and the warranty details come up. It took a while (2-4 weeks) to update from 3 years to 5 years, as it is done by Skoda Australia, not the dealership. They just submit the paperwork to have the extended warranty applied to your VIN.

Extended Warranty

Contact your dealer and get it clarified ASAP. If you've opted for the extended warranty the app would immediately reflect it. Also your dealer invoice should state it and so would your service booklet/information sheet.

Will contact the dealer today. I thought it would be up there immediately as it has to be optioned when ordered.
It is stated 5 year warranty on the invoice I received and signed when I ordered the vehicle but as it is leased, I don't get the invoice with receipt of payment after the car has been picked up by me.

It states extended guarantee, but then shows a period of 3 years and 150000Km.
Thought it should be 5 years and unlimited Km?

I was told Skoda Australia will send out extended warranty paperwork Monthly(every end of the month), so your documentations should be on the way to your home, ofcoz it can take a while if they are using Australia Post. But then might be better to shoot the dealer an email so they are aware of this issue.

*Edit:Apparently we are on the same boat, I picked up the car on 01/05/2015, and I just checked on Skoda Service App, still showing as 3 years, and I had shoot the dealer an email.

I was told a similar thing. 6 months later, nothing - maybe lost in the post? I don't care, its in the contract and on the invoice.

That's very true, but then as owners, we would expect better customer services from Skoda, just for the peace of mind.

i dunno but when i bought mine it was unlimited km. When did they put a cap on it?

I think it is unlimited for 3yrs, but the the extension must only apply to 150,000km. Is sneaky, but it costs a bit less now than it used to.

Can someone please tell me where in the Skoda App you find the warranty page information please? I can't find it, even after searching "Warranty".

Edit: Don't worry.....just checked and noticed I haven't put my VIN in yet. I assume once you're VIN is entered the warranty information is easy to find.
