Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    '13 Octavia vRS liftback mk2 - cargo net

    Hi guys, did a search and yielded nothing ....

    Can anyone provide me with the measurements for the the cargo net in a '13 Octavia vRS liftback ?

    Have not asked the dealer for OEM as I think they may cost a bit more than what I can get it on ebay for

    Even better - if you have ordered a particular size and it fits, would you kindly provide a link ?

    These are the ones I am currently looking at... but don't really want to pay $50 for one.

    Did you buy the car new? If so, didn't a cargo net come with the car? Mine did.

      No I didn't purchase it brand new - possibly an option for original owner and they didn't tick the box .. who knows ?? But they are so convenient !!!!

          The RS didn't come with them, pretty much every other model did. It was weird. If I was dishonest I could have pinched them from the myriad of Europcar hire Octavia's I hired. They all had them still in plastic tucked in the boot.

            LOL ... They will know if you nicked it mate !

            Tucked in the boot ay ... maybe i do have one hidden in there somewhere ? I'll take a look tonight, otherwise, I'll just take a stab and order one on eBay.

              You won't have one, as I said RS didn't ger them. I doubt they would have noticed, they barely clean cars let alone check for random things like that. I was good though.

                    So did my mates second hand vRS liftback ..

                    Maybe the previous owner bought one as an option.

                      Ah yeah, the wagons got them, it was just the hatches that didn't. Such a weird thing to do, but they did.

                              I am sure any size net should fit, I just want OEM replacements. ALI express one looks good - I've never bought form them .. reliable ?

                              Probably just take a quick measurement and get the one from Poland. Thanks !
