After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

My wonderful HPA brakes had developed a noticeable vibration.
I took the rotors into the workshop for a skim, this took them close to the wear limit, will have to replace them next time.
I did 25k and a few track days using Ferodo DS2500 pads - these are truly wonderful pads but they took their toll on the rotors
The following 25k I used a street pad from HPA - much less dust and rotor friendly (also less bite)
The pads were well used, about 85%, I replaced them to get the pistons well back into caliper
I'm running the supaloy control arms - I had the camber/caster adjustment set to max out the neg camber
This provided incredible confidence turning in - it was happy to carry a lot of trail braking into the corner
But it reduced the car's ability to get off the mark and put the power down
The negative camber did not adversely wear the tyre tread during the ~50k,
while the tread wear is flat across the face of the tyre there is excessive inner edge wear (a little confusing)
So now I'm going to change the caster/camber on the supaloy control arms to max out caster
This will get the wheel more upright and help put power down in the straight line
the caster will give more negative camber when turning the steering wheel
Probably not as much camber as my current static setup but that's ok - you don't really need it for the street
I got 53k out of the Goodyear F1A2 tyres - fantastic tyre which is now cost effective - love them
I'm now fitting a pair of Michelin PSS tyres that I got from a Tire Rack sale when the exchange rate was 1:12012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

Had my first scrape since fitting the front splitter! Fortunately it was only light, and not visible- I've been so careful so far, but with lowered springs, I guess it was bound to happen.
Also carried 4 people in the car for the first time: happy to say that there was no scrubbing/bottoming out since fitting the H&R springs, which was a prior concern given that I retained the factory shocks.
No battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy

Got it's 15k service today.... At 9,400.....
Had to do it on time rather than distance. Oh well! Asked them to look at the random rough running (which others like Gerry have noticed). No fault found. They asked if they could take the car overnight to test further if I want (they suspect it's a cold start issue) - I have said it occurs randomly got it cold.

That made sense as we first purchased it in the 2013 winter and I only became aware of it some months after purchase (spring).
Could be it is pumping too much fuel for the warmer temperatures? The issues clear after less than a kilometre.
Coincidentally the overrun buzz from somewhere above my right ear went away during the cold weather and came back with the heat.

First service, wheel alignment was all over the place , now sorted.
rear fog lights don't work, wiring, globes, switches etc all checked out ok, they thought the coding to be off, sent off a download from the car, no issue found, appears to be gateway controller problem.Last edited by gadget007a; 22-12-2015, 08:43 PM.

Did the poor alignment have any impact on the tyre wear? Just wondering because after about 8000k my tyres are looking surprisingly worn and I wonder if it will be covered by warranty if it turns out it's poor wheel alignment from delivery.2007 Golf 2.0 TDI Comfortline DSG/ESP

I fully detailed the car today. Wash, clay bar, machine polish, apply sealant, buff off, also cleaned seats. Took about 5 hrs. I'm wrecked but the car is looking spiffy.2014 Skoda Ambition Plus 103TSI candy white wagon, 6sp Manual, Tech pack, Panoramic Sunroof, 18's, Colour Maxidot, Comfort BT

No breaks at all, a double garage to use, all equipment laid out ready to go and having to be finished by a certain time.
Admittedly though, my paint was in excellent condition beforehand so only very minor corrections required.
