So what was the verdict on the residual glow of the LEDs? I oddly noticed mine glowing for the first time at 4am this morning. Can't say I've ever seen them glow before so was a bit odd when I saw it this morning.

Driving home tonight and my son noticed that my glove box light is always on (can see the glow through the small gap in the glove box handle). Light doesn't even turn off when I manually push in the glove box switch (top right hand side of the glove box). Should I be worried about this being permanently on and draining the battery now?

This is all very weird as I can distinctly remember checking with the glove box switch that the glove box light was turning off and on (cause I remember it was a bastard of a light to replace actually, so I tested it to make sure it was working correctly when I had to spend 2 hrs putting it back together). I'm dreading the thought of having to pull it apart again!!!

What did I do to my Octavia today? (2 days ago actually) Offered it up for sale as the new will be here in a couple of weeks. It's in the for sales if anyone is interested. Its been a great car, hope the new one is just as good.

Haven't quite "done" but bought:

Alloy lower control arms (S3 / Passat but with the S3 non-voided bush). 1kg+ lighter per side.


18" x 7.5 wheels in a very conservative ET54. 225/40r18 RE050A. 20mm less diameter than the oversize boots I'm running at the moment.


S3 front seats - a bit more lateral support

Totally de-badged the rear and replaced with a single black textured Skoda badge. Swapped front grille for chromeless, badgeless, black honeycomb grille.

I passed a yellow Lamborghini today. I think he was jealous.

Got wheels colour-changed to satin black. I know some people don't like the black on black look, but I am not one of them.

Cosmetically all that's left is lowering it and getting the tint on the rear window sorted out.

Very Easy. I followed this DIY DIY - Matte Black Emblems - Plastidip, no emblem removal required! - Club Lexus Forums

As for the vrs badge i cut a small piece of masking tape and placed it over the green and red section and cut the plasti dip coating with a scapel to be able to peel the masking tape away.
