Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • so I'm selling my vRS ..

time to sell the vRS, but looks like dealers are pushing down the market price in their rush to dump 2013 stock

.. wondering if I should wait a few months before selling my MY12 with 50k km ??

Hard to say, after seeing an Elegance in the flesh they will sell more of those arguably than the old RS stock. Will have to wait and see what the RS is priced at. Seeing as you are calling it a MY12, I'm guessing it's a 2011 with an expired warranty coming soon? Will always be worth that bit more with warranty intact. Selling it before the new RS is out would be a good move as that will only age the car more. And that could happen anyday (stock around is another thing though).

Put the original brakes back onto the car and sell the BBK separately in order to get some $ back

looking fwd to the For Sale thread (of the parts).

Can post a heads up in this thread when you do please.

What terribly low prices are the dealers selling for? Maybe Skodas simply have terrible resale just as everyone predicted?

ok sorry if I got anyone excited over KW's and/or BBK, but ....

after comparing the lease payout and resale, looks like I stand to lose a similar amount over 12 months if I keep her for track use, plus consumables will be juuust a lil bit cheaper than RS4 equivalents also. Basically I won't have to take a $10-12k hit now by paying out lease minus resale value.

so she's a keeper for another year or so ... and I get to use a cheap track car, wooot!!
