You can also open the auto tailgate using the key fob and control its height. First, use the key fob to open the tailgate, while it is opening if you press the key fob button the tailgate will stop at which ever height it is at. If you press the key fob button again it will continue to open, pressing the key fob again will make it stop and so on and so forth.

Yep or using the 2 buttons on the tailgate.

Car still has not arrived at dealership
It landed at Port Kembla on 6 March! I will now be taking delivery in April - almost 11 months since ordering the car.

I feel your pain daMama, checked with my dealer today and our car is sitting in the port of Bruges-Zeebrugge in Belgium, four weeks after being manufactured.

If I could think of a comparable car to an RS Wagon with similar options for around $50k I would walk away. I don't think I will ever be able to recommend a customised Skoda to a friend or colleague given the length of time it takes for them to arrive in OZ. My advice to them would be if you can't get one on the dealer's yard that meets your specifications, walk away.

Yeah we picked ours up Wed arvo - because of a cancelled order the dealer had one ready to go, we beat another couple to the punch on that by about 10 mins, otherwise they estimated our order would be August / September (which I wouldn't have gone ahead with)

Spotted a truck with 2 news Scouts turning off the M2 onto to Pennant Hills Road at about 7 this morning.

One was light blue and the other was white - looked quite reasonable, although I was quite surprised to see them this early considering the local dealer said June/July release. Had SCOUT logos down the side.

As I suspected, the blue one (at least) has appeared where I suspected - 2014 Skoda Octavia Scout Premium 135TDI MY15 Direct-Shift Gearbox

Had a look over a Scout yesterday and have to say that it looked the part, seats were really comfortable too, felt on par with the ones i had in my Superb. 135TDI would be the pick of the bunch for me. Was thrown the keys for a test drive but it was too wet and miserable, so I'll have to wait until my Wife's car needs a service in a month.

Took a RS manual for a spin for the day as well whilst my car was being serviced, WOW, I had forgotten how much fun a manual could be. Thanks John @ Peninsula Skoda.

Friggin heck! Pretty sure it was only two weeks from the port to ACT for me. Did they say why it is taking so long? After last time they should have slapped some priority on the damn thing and have it on a truck ASAP.

After placing an order with a dealer in Aus, how long did it take for the factory to accept the order, give you a VIN number and start the build?

I heard there are some minor updates to the MY16 octavias. So wondering if i should place my order now or wait a month or two to get the MY16 updates.

If i order now, the dealer said ETA end of April to mid August this year.

Any experiences, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Well mine was ordered end of January, got a build date 3 weeks later, built early March and delivery ETA is end of May

Four months in total, but bear in mind the wait for the RS is a lot longer if you're planning on getting that
