As KIWI mentioned, ugly sums up a lot of Skoda cards. Thats changing with the new updates, but even our 08 RS looked dated at the front especially and the weird headlight change didn't fix it. They should do better now. The Fabia certainly needs a massive makeover and the yeti can do with a touch up as well. I'm hopeful things will pick up but I'm convinced with Hyundai about they need to put some confidence in people's minds and offer 5yr warranties. Why the DSG doesn't have the 10yr warranty after the blowup with that last year I'll never understand.

Yeah that was what I was meaning so sales of the new model wouldn't even start appearing until substantial orders start being delivered. So the numbers are meaningless until those batches start appearing in volume. I wonder how many are on order now.Originally posted by brad View Postregistrations isn't it? I noticed the Kia Cee'd on Top Gear has a 7 year warranty in the UK - now *THAT* is backing your product (& most likely 7 years of service work for the dealer)Originally posted by woofy View PostAs KIWI mentioned, ugly sums up a lot of Skoda cards. Yep, 5 year warranty should be standard (if not *the* standard). European brands have a rep of being a rip off come service time and not lasting as well as the Japanese. If you back your product, you should be trying to change that perception.Originally posted by brad View PostI noticed the Kia Cee'd on Top Gear has a 7 year warranty in the UK - now *THAT* is backing your product (& most likely 7 years of service work for the dealer)

 Hi Matt,

I ordered the Tech Pack on a RS Wagon for week 22 build as well and was considering getting the sunroof. However I was a bit worried about the sunroof delaying delivery by a few months as I read it did on the Briskoda forum so ordered without. As I ordered mid March, my dealer couldn't tell me if there would be any delays. Have you had any info on this from your dealer?

Also, that seems like a good price ... did you order a manual or DSG? Did you also get the black pack?

 Thanks,

 Mark

I called my dealer recently and he said there won't be much news about build week allocations and whatnot until a week or so into May, hopefully they have the pricing for the RS tech pack by then too...

It'd be nice to have an unconfirmed Build Week allocation by now.MY16 Octavia RS 162 Race Blue Combi

I've got everything (Tech Pack, sunroof and auto boot open/close) with Chrome Pack. Standard alloys. It's also the DSG model.

I wasn't advised that there would be a delay due to sunroof but can wait til May to hear about any news on built date (so far I was told week 22 or after due to Tech Pack) but I'm not stressed.

What color did you order?[FONT=Franklin Gothic Medium]Matt

Had a test drive of a wagon today.....and got to compare the ambition+ stereo with the canton upgrade.......let me say the canton upgrade is so worth the $600. So much better sound! actually has some bass which is good.

Getting close to emailing a bunch of dealers with the car card I have made and asking for their best price. Once I get that, i'll go to the dealer I have dealt with so far and give them the opportunity to beat the best price, then hopefully place an order with them. (or maybe a touch under depending on how sharp they price it) considering the options I want (Canton, Front sensors, Alaris 18's, colour maxidot, BT, Alarm, lights/wipers/dipping mirror, std white). Car config says 30600 drive away - I reckon $29K will be the price. Was thinking of moon white, but after seeing the candy white in bright sunlight (last time I went was overcast) I reckon with the mods I have planned candy white will be nicer. Brother in law is a signwriter, and has agreed to do any vinyl wrap I want at cost price for the vinyl.......so thinking of getting the roof done in 3M carbon fibre wrap, and maybe the mirrors too......

Was surprised with how gutsy the 1.4 felt......really good.2014 Skoda Ambition Plus 103TSI candy white wagon, 6sp Manual, Tech pack, Panoramic Sunroof, 18's, Colour Maxidot, Comfort BT

I ordered Black with Black Pack (no auto boot) and told dealer today to add the sunroof after he confirmed that there are no delays. Does your price include on road/ drive away price? If so you did really well! He is waiting for Skoda's price for the tech pack before giving me a drive away price. Normally not a fan of sunroofs but from the pics I've seen, it's large size really lightens up the all black interior.

After taking doing a pile a research and thanks to the info on this forum, we've plonked down the deposit for an Octavia RS wagon.
Candy white, Tech Pack, Black Pack and Auto Boot release. Cost is a smidge over $43k. I've also asked if we can get the 18" Turini wheels instead of the Gemini's which I think look a bit to HSV'ish
 Delivery date mid October
The only thing I didn't go for which I'm still thinking about was the extra 2 yrs warranty. Any thoughts ??Last edited by geoffs; 24-04-2014, 08:34 AM.

I personally believe the warranty will be good to have given the Skoda (VW) issues and it is also the additional peice of mind factor. I am also contemplating on the extra warranty but will decide close to delivery. They cost about $1500 I think.Walking Contradiction...

Congrats on the order. No interest in moon white?

At 1600 ish the extra 2 years is comparatively well priced. I think it is worth it although there are murmurings pf a move to 5 years as standard. But who knows.

What was normal retail on that wagon? What did they guess/price the tech pack at?

On the warranty note - I'm contemplating it as well. Piece of mind, I'll mention that to the gf as I'm sick and tired of my Polo GTI which has 7months left on warranty and I'm STILL having issues this far into ownership!
