    • A quick check suggests the Skoda AUS website has yet to be updated, as the pricing brochure doesn't include the Comfort Pack. Hence I thought I would upload the information I had my dealer send me about the pack, along with the amended purchase contract.

I had a RS which I absolutely loved. However, it was a bit on the impractical side when it came to camping - sure it would tow a loaded trailer, but probably not much more than that. And I had to drive at snail's pace to get into some of our favourite spots - not long drives (maybe 2kms on dirt) but poor roads.

As we're thinking about upgrading our camping experience (mainly to get off sleeping at ground level at our age), I'm seriously thinking about a Scout. The timing will be perfect for our return to Australian in June 2015 (depending on delivery times).

Oh, and fantastic to see the return of heated seats!

What's a comfort pack? Sounds like a haemorrhoid cushion!

Price very similar to mine (no sunroof, comfort pack or wheel paint on mine for about $3k less but I have leather).

I'm in much the same position. I live in an area with shockingly bad potholes and rough roads, and I've bent rims on my current car a couple of times. I love the Octavia but the idea of driving around here on 18" wheels with 40-profile tyres sounds uncomfortable and expensive.

The Scout is doubly tempting because there's supposedly going to be a manual diesel option available, and questions over DSG reliability really turns me off.

So my options at the moment are a MY14 Elegance Wagon TDI/DSG with a set of 16" wheels and extended warranty thrown in for $39.5K drive away, or wait to see what engine/transmissions options we get with the new Scout.

Personally, I don't care about reversing camera, but the comfort pack for the RS seems like, and I would have optioned that

                              • The dimming side mirrors is what I'm liking, though I don't have no ridiculous waiting times to deal with cause i have my car already
