Floor Mats

Hi Guys,

I couldn't get my dealer to throw floor mats in, partly because they were out of stock and still are.....

Are there any decent aftermarket floor mats I can buy for less than $100? Preferably less than $50. I had a look in autobarn but they had nothing that would fit. It's quite a small foot well especially on the drivers side.

The skoda mats were around the $190 mark I think which is about normal for dealer prices. But I'm hoping to save on those prices since they are only bloody floor mats for dirty shoes.

Any idea if I can just buy Golf fitting or some other mats on eBay and they will fit?

Oh and I'd prefer carpet over rubber.

+1 for Matcraft. Perfect fitting custom floor mats for $140. Better quality than OEM mats as well.

Just buy the cheap ones from autobarn or whatever and cut them to size. That's all I do then throw them away after 6 months and cut up a new set.

Yes that is true...the pre FL and FL are different.
I found out the hard way.

Well under $100 for custom mats. I had mine done with Red edging to match the interior highlights. They look great in my opinion.

Square eye or round eye. Series 1 or series 2.

yes, don't just tell the mat maker that it is an Octavia, as their records may not show the difference in models.
tell them an actual year and month build....

Thanks. So given my car is MY12 I just tell them that? And it'll come with the holes to fit over the pegs to stop it sliding?

I'd tell the the month & year of manufacture as Model years don't compute with a lot of places (eg: MY12 could have been made in 2011??)

The ones Tigger got have the pegs, etc. I bought the first set that he got as they were pre-FL & he has FL. Nice mats - better than OEM IMO

Front and rear mats were standard on my MY 11 vRS wagon. I hit the dealer up for, and got the rubber boot mat and netting, and an MDI cable to get the deal over the line. I can't believe the satnav became standard on MY11's, Bluetooth became standard on the MY12's, but that the floor mats are an accessory! I thought they were standard across the range.
