Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    LED Taillights

    Hi All,
    Well the other day i cracked a tail light on my car
    no major and hardly noticable but enough to proabably get defeceted if a poloce officer pulled me over and wanted to be a prick.

    Skoda wanted $158 just for 1 so i searched online and found these


    They have been reduced from 283 GBP to 102 GBP!

    I have ordered a set (about 240 AUD shipped but thats including VAT which i hope to get zero'd)

    Yet to discover if they are CANBUS friendly (or we get heaps of errors on the dash)

      there is a VCDS function for LED taillights as there is a factory LED option in china. kamold has(had) a set for sedan

        I was looking at these for awhile, but I think I might keep my sights set on the black-on-black- Dectanes

        Should be good to see though - pics a must!

          I still have them in a box if someone with a sedan wants them...make an offer.

              I have a wagon so I can't install them, they are a slightly different shape. Slight enough that I couldn't tell from pics so I bought them and got as far as physically trying to install them.

              There was one average photo of them test fitted here sorry I don't have anything better.

              I can take pics of the lights, but not with them installed.
