No need to have one made, they are a common upgrade part. Try Tim at Dubbaddiction first.

You realise they are the same part as a Golf but a fraction shorter?

            more like 300-400mm

I was quite surprised myself when I was working out how much to cut off.

This is great, have you had one of these fitted on a vrs wagon?
Who would be good to use in Melbourne to help with the fitting if it has to be modified ?

Try The Muffler Man in Prahran. 5+ years ago he did exhaust work on my Ralliart Colt and he knew his stuff. Cheers

2006 2010 Volkswagen GTI 2 0T FSI TSI Ccta MKV 3" Turbo Exhaust Downpipe | eBay

This is super cheap! But is it the right one? I would also consider one for my pre-fl VRS. But I can't figure out which one suits.

Does someone know if they give the car a better note, and what power differences can be found? Also, what is swapped/cut out when installing this?
                      Cheers

the CCTx engine is the US version - its different to the European version, the one we get.
i think pre-fl 2008 has the same engine as the facelift - CCZx engine.
double check that it can be used.

as for the size, i've been told to get the jetta mk5 version, as it will have the right length.

Anything for a golf is going to be WAY too long. It will need to be trimmed and the 2"(2.25) outlet welded back on.

Ive just had a mk5 gti one modified with a new flange to suit the TSI engine and shortened for the Octavia. cost me more to have it modded than to purchase it and get it here from Germany. but, its a work of art!

AFAIK the US ones are hit and miss for fitment due to the engine differences already mentioned by darkshadow.

                              neither will fit without modifications

those are for the TFSI, you need one for the TSI. the stud pattern for the turbo outlet is slightly different. unfortunately, youll need a new flange put on that down pipe.
