Anyone know if the stage 2 tune was ever revised to tweak out the flat spot? Looking to have my DP installed soon...lol

Some impressive figures coming out of the APR Stage 1 on the new golf 7 GTI.

APR tune released 316hp and 380tq. For those of us more metrically-minded, those figures are 235kw and 516Nm at the fly, on 98 RON. WHOA.

Is this the same engine that's in the occy 3 rs?

APR Stage 1 (MKV/VI) is a bit flat at the top end
APR Stage 2 (with DP) has no flat spot - more go from lower rpm all the way to red line - it's awesome

The other possibility is that you may have early signs of a col pack on the way out

                Yup....exact same engine.
And unlike with the mk2 vRS, they haven't detuned it for the mk3 vRS.
                Yipee.

Haven't detuned it as stock? I thought the Mk3 RS was only 162kW stock?

Those APR figures are mind blowing, but again, FWD is gonna be a tough ask to push all that power through.

Mk2 vRS was always 5kw less than the equivalent GTI. Mk3 appears to have equal power to GTI.

I have recently finished my exhaust so I now have a full 3" TBE... Spoke to John @ Tigersoft again as I was having a few little teething issues but after the latest tune, things appear to be alooottt smoother.... Very happy...

Can definitely recommend getting in touch with John @ Tigersoft if your looking at bluefin as his service is second to none... Also has a quality dog to play with if you ever visit him...

Have noticed recently my bluefinned RS appears to be lacking some grunt down low in 2nd gear. Just doesn't seem to have the push you back into the seat that it used to have down low in 2nd gear. Could this just be the warmer weather in Qld now? Or something else with the remap/engine?

its probably a combination of you getting used to it, and the weather warming up.

Whilst I might be getting used it it, the car def doesn't pull as hard....noticeably less torque steer in low 2nd....so it's not just me getting used to it.

I have a question. It appears to have occured around the same time as I got my LCA's fixed. Could the place where I got my LCA's fixed have also reset my ECU back to stock or detuned it somewhat? (No it wasn't a dealer....just a VAG and other Euro car mechanic place).

No reason to disconnect battery even if it was the most cautious mech in the world. Even battery disconnect doesn't remove the tune.

You wouldn't be getting sticky vains in the turbo would you?

                                Dtuk Vrs Octavia

                                Hi Guys,

Sorry to hi jack but I think it's some what relevant, I recently installed DTuk on my TDI Vrs and have put to map 3.+2.

Do you guys that have a tune gone on limp mode before? Over last week I had this issue where while I was driving and gave full throttle on the move to over take and yellow flashing sign appears on the dash(not ASC/traction control). Immediately felt the car was not accelerating while i step on the gas pedal seems like limp mode. Car works fines still can drive but it is as if turbo was switched off. The error code disappears when I switched the car off and on back.

                                Anyone have this experience?
